Ok so after finishing NWN and Gothic (Again)* I needed to move on to something else, so I picked up Mafia after the recommendations of some of the members here. So far its a great game** but would you consider it RPG or adventure? Its very immersive and there are plots and quests that need completing...but Im not sure its really a RPG.
*Gothic has AMAZING replay value, the ONLY RPG I've ever replayed.
** I forgot who first recommended this to me, it was a poster here. HELP!!!
How do I get into Salieri's bar??? I keep running through the back alley but they always shoot me!! |

Mafia is a Mission based Shooter/Driving game. NO RPG (no skills) and NO Adventure (Combining thing a + thing b to get thing c).
It's like a Max Payne with driving to the place of action.

Definitely a mission based shooter/action game. No character development at all to qualify as an RPG. |

So there is no reason to talk about it here, I will only add that it is game from small developer in my country, so buy it and support small developers :]. |

I think (I know that Mafia is not RPG) that Europe is new homeland of CRPGs (or maybe not new). It seems that US developers focus only on MRPGs :]. |

I use 56k too; imaging what would happen if i play MMORPGs or online UT2003, my whole playing session is start with trying to connect to servers and end with trying to connect to servers. _________________
