HOW DO YOU PICK UP WEAPONS

K I just got this game and I cannot figure out how to pick up the dang pick axe or anything else for that matter. I have tried every single button on my keyboard and my mouse. WTF??? I am so confused. I know that this is a stupid question and all but I am not use to RPG's. I am a FPS and Racer: Motor City Online. I got this game cause it looked cool and looked fun to play. I am can open the chest and stuff like that I JUST CAN'T PICK UP A WEAPON. I found the pick axe by some mine or cave also found an old sword. I cannot pick up either one.

You ought to use action+forward (wherever you mapped those two functions)... probably left mouse+forward arrow.

If you´re used to FPSs activate secondary controls (ASDW + mouse). 90% of all trivial things are done this way:
1.looking at / selecting something or somebody
2.press (LMB or Ctrl) + up.
