No matter what it'll look like... the most important things for thief is the gameplay.
As I say, thief is the only first-person-view game in which you can climb higher than a shoe box ! ( hey, look, garrett can use his arms !!  )
( thanks to the Dark engine ... err I wonder if the unreal engine despite its good looking rendering could make that too !! ) |

Hey guys, coincidentally I was actually looking for Thief III stuff the other day and stumbled upon the only relatively new info available. Have a looksy, its only an little bit of new info. I must say though if you do get to explore and entire city, that would be awesome. From all info released so far all signs point towards you being able to play as Garrett.

THis is one game I have been looking forward to for years.
I've played both THief GOld and THief 2 several times, and am just in the last chapter of T2 right now. Every time I've played, I've found something new. Ditto Deus Ex.
If both Thief 3 and Deus Ex 2 come out this year I will be one happy gamer indeed!
I can't imagine NOT playing Thief3 as Gerret - I hope they aren't going to mess around with the basic premise of the game. As long as they keep on the basic elements (sneaking, stealing and exploring) I'll be content. Especially if there are a few "just for stealing" chapters. |

Well, if they do Thief 3, I hope they finally give Garrett a love interest. I mean, come on, I don't care how uber tough you are, eventually you need some lovin. Maybe someone like Annah from Planescape Torment, someone who can challenge Garrett with her own skills.
Also, I hope they finally give some insight on the Undead section of town. How did it get that way? Are the wizards somehow involved and how? What about the Hammerites and the Pagans?
And finally, some more insight on the Keepers. Maybe an internal view of them. Garrett could temporarily join them to obtain information and reveal some of their secrets.
Any way, a nice true sneaker would be appreciated. Its been too long.

The last time I checked at my local EB, they said possibly March, as DE2 was slated for February. But we all know how that can change overnight.
Of course with the computer problems I've been having I hope they haven't tampered with the engines too much - the old T2 and DE play just fine. ANy changes and I might be hooped until I sort out the issues. |

but the only part of the unreal engine they are using is the editor...they made their own renderer and AI. Deus Ex 2 and Thief III are doing this, and will be using almost the same engine.

Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3 both coming to xbox also ... very good for me cause I have a crappy computer and I'm going to be missing out on Gothic 2 due to my low processor. |

i wonder when thief 3 will be released, damn im waiting for that game. Thief 1 and 2 are one of the greatest games ever created, i love the world they take place in, the characters and the feeling of being an shadowy thief and dont forget the keepers,damn they are cool! well if warren spector and the remains of the looking glass crew are making the game, its sure as hell is gonna be an masterpiece!
