What happened to my Multipliers? |
|
First of all, you people have been very helpful in pointing out Tips for my GameFAQs Guide. A lot of you seem to know the mechanics of how you level-up, so this might be right up your alley.
Basically, my Strength went to 97 when I last leveled up. I've been using an Axe and Axe is one of my major skills, so each time I level up, I get a 3x multiplier by Strength.
I did no differently this past level, raising my Axe skill about 3 or 4 times, as well as Armor skills, Acrobatics, Athletics, etc.
I as all excited that, when I leveled up, I would get another 3x multiplier and bring my strength to an even 100. Then I planned to switch over to my Short Blade, which is what I'd been using prior to my intention to raise in the ranks of the Fighter's Guild - since Axe is one of their major skills, I switched to it. But since Axe gives me Strength multipliers, and I figured I couldn't go past 100, I planned to switch back over to Short Blade and raise Speed.
HOWEVER, when I leveled up, I got a 2x or 3x multiplier for Endurance, Speed, and Agility -- but not for Strength! Why the hell not? _________________ ~ Reverend Wes Ide ~

From experimenting, I found out that you can't get to 100 with multipliers. Meaning, if you are at 97, then only get 4 skill points raised in that attribute, which will give you a 2x multiplier. If you go over 2x, it will be set to no multiplier. I don't know if it is by design or bug that you have to get the last point going from 99 to 100 all by itself. So, aim for 99 for all your attributes. |
