Models are created in a third party 3d package, and then imported into Gothic's Spacer editor. There are tutorials at http://www.soulofgothic.de. In German.

The system is designed for use with 3DSmax, but if you don't have that, you can try Milkshape. If you use Milkshape, you'll need a plugin to allow it to export a Gothic-style .3ds mesh. If you root around that web site you'll find everything you need.

THANX!!! However, I cannot read german. Are there any english tutorials on The model and scripting package?? I heard there was a mod kit... where do I get that? Also, Will these tools allow me to edit existing objects in Gothic and thus insert them like I would any normal Object?

Yes, as far as I know, although I'm no expert, the available tools will let you insert new objects and define their behaviour.

One of the tutorials supplied by Pirhana Bytes shows how to build a Meatbug, define its behaviour with the Daedelus scripting language, and insert it in the game world.

If there is interest in English language docmentation, I'd consider producing some. I think an earlier poster also claimed to be working this however.
