Dungeon Siege: LoA - Review @ FragZone.se

Swedish FragZone is the first site to have a review of 'Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna'. They rated Mad Doc's/GPG's/Microsoft's stand-alone expansion pack at 3 out of 5 points.
Well, congratulations on being the first FragZone and on being able to completely ignore the letter to editors that shipped with the preview copy or... wait, maybe that letter just wasn't included with the eDonkey image files? .

As you probably followed the ongoing legal struggle between the GameStar and Knightshift publisher Zuxxez you can assume that Microsoft included a statement with the copy of the game clarifiying whether it is free for preview or review. In the abovementioned case the judge will (a) find out if such a contract is 'usual in this line of business' and if so (b) ask GameStar to present their written permission to review this version of Knightshift. If they donīt have it it can be very expensive.

As to DS:LoA, expect this 'review' to go down soon. As long as the game is not in the stores you need permission by Microsoft.

Right. It says:
quote:
Dear Editor,

Enclosed is your beta copy of "Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna" blabla... This beta version is being sent to you specifically for your hands-on previews.... blabla
The letter also includes a list of unfinished items (such as missing multiplayer features etc.) and they mention, again in bold letters, that it is a Preview Beta.
I don't really care if FragZone are the first to have a review of the game but their ignorance is quite astonishing. It's like they ripped the package open and dumped everything except the CDs or... my donkey theory may not be all wrong . Anyway, this is a "no-issue" as far as I am concerned. Just felt like being a pain in the ass. That's all .
