my apologies for the question, but the search routine proved fruitless...
at any rate, i -just- purchased gothic II... was turned off by the first game, primarily because of the controls..
well, II is slightly better controlwise, and so far, i am really enjoying the game.. much better than i anticiapated..
as for my question.. i have now 'leveled' twice, but have not had a chance to distribute my exp points... i can pull up my character portrait, but how to i allocate the points?
i have successfully improved my one-handed fighting skill by paying for it (cheap by the way at only $5...)... but how to i use my exp points???
any help would be appreciated..

Actually, you cant distribute your exp points. Every time you level up you get 10 learning points that you can use to train your character in. They are used for any training from sword fighting to increasing mana. Different npc's will be able to train you in different aspects. _________________ If soot stains your tunic, dye it black. oooh... so the exp points are taken care of, but 'learning points' are used with teachers....
so the $5 i spent at the paladins training area, that also took away training points as well? interesting... ohh.. wait a tic... i think the 'price' said '5LP'.. oh how sad, that was for '5 learning points', wasnt it?
damn i feel like a dope...
thanks for clearing that up though... |

Character development is more complex than it looks at first sight. There are some manipulators which do not really jump in your face.
YouŽll find this out alone. All you have to remember is that you can only learn a skill up to 100. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Correction - You can only train your skills up to 100. Potions work even after 100. (I'm sure Gorath knows this. It was merely a typing error.)
You should note that increasing your skills above 100% might not be your best option. You may wish to read up on the subject.
