You have to Use them on the pillar, (f key) then the lights will turn on and all will be revealed.

Help me Too!

Hey. I am having trouble activating the glowing orbs on the pillars also. So I came to the forum and found your thread. I went back and used the "f" key on the orbs in my inventory and also after I had placed them on the pillars. The orbs don't light up (if they are supposed to) and the grave will not open for me still. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong? Your advise will be greatly appreciated!

Orbs

It's been a while, but if I remember, you must have Orbs in inventory, point with mouse, hit F key or enter, and then point to the pillar and click the mouse. Once they are all four in place the grave should open. If not you have a bug that you need to direct to send it on the first thread. Hope this helps.

Still no luck

I guess I do have a bug. But I reported my problem to JoWood and all they said was to be sure I had all four of the glowing orbs. I do. I have been unable to play the game now for four days. This really sucks because I like the game alot and would have bought Arx2 when it comes out. But not if I can't even get passed the first game!

I appreciate your suggestions and attempts to help. I am relatively certain this is a bug though and you can't do anything about that.

Orbs

Let's walk through this once more. You have the orbs in your inventory and you are holding the mouse pointer over one and then hit enter or F key and then point to the post and R click the mouse on the pillar. This then attaches the object to the pillar. Now if you are doing that and you have all four then it is a new bug. Have you down- loaded the patches that are out? I did it during a game and no prolems. If this is bug send message to JoWood again using this forum and see what happens. This game is really fun and I hate to see someone get screwed this far into it. I think I told you right way, but just in case be sure to talk to the big boys on the first thread of this forum and ask for step by step to be sure. Also try above and L click the mouse on the piller, and Hit the F key on the pillar also. That should cover all the possibilities. I hope you can get past this. Do you have a save game at just before this room? I can't remember. If so just back up a little and try again.I've been reading this board for a long time and this is a new one on me. Good Luck.

I'll give it one or two more tries

I have printed your walk-through and will try that. If it does not work I will go back to an earlier save game. If that doesn't work, guess I will have to give the game up. I sure did enjoy it up to this point. I sent an email to Julien yesterday but have not received a response yet.

Thanks for your step-by-step. I'll try it when I get home from work today.

Give it another day. He has always answered other people quickly. I wish I could fix it for you. Hope you try to play again in future. Game really is fun, and after the patch I never had bug problems. Good luck and always glad to help.
