Does Gothic let you change the controls or play with a GamePad? I'm thinking about buying the game but have heard many bad things about the control scheme. Please tell me.

The controls just take some getting used to. I figured them out quickly. You can change the controls, but the game does not offically support gamepads.

I really liked the controls, I thought they were nicely intuitive.

Val, did you see that my big pout smileys stopped working? That bites!

I think the site that the smilie came from is down. It's probably only a minor glich that will be fixed soon.

I know, I'm just whining, I wanted to share my pain.

I like the mouse controls, especially for swimming, weapon combos, and movement.
