@Stiletto: Good to hear that my Postings here didn't annoy you. When you played the demo, feel free to tell us what you're thinking about it.
@Gwennec: I don't make out yet if you solved your problem with downloading. If you still have this problem, tell me the domain from where you tried to download.

I don't know if you saw my post afterwards, but is it a German only demo? I don't speak much in the way of German, in fact anything I do know I can't spell, and I shouldn't say in a public forum. I am glad to see a developer talking "With the people", hardly annoying! More developers should do it, but I guess they have a hard time paying people to surf the web <: It is definately a great PR move though, and it would provide a lot of valuable feedback I would think. Well tell them I am waiting for an English demo, Ich Bien Ein Berliner! (I am a doughnut?) |

Hi Stefan
I also wan't to thank you for the fast and serious responses I got. The only next thing I need/like to know, is when I can buy the full version in denmark! Preferable in an english version! |

@Stiletto: Oops, sorry, I didn't realize your question. Yes, the Demo is in German.
But the english translation of Gorasul is quiet far in progress and hopefully we can announce an english demo in the next days. Check http://www.rpgdot.com for further news about this!
And I agree with you that more developers should engage in the dialogue with their potential customers. I'm quiet sure, that this interaction will become more and more common in near future. And the feedback we got since yet is definetely quiet helpful in many aspects, so I will continue this.

@Michael C: I can't say the official release date for Denmark actually but I think it will be in August or maybe early September. And the version for Denmark will be english, sure.

Oops
Someone asks me if there are just 7 weapons in Gorasul, because I mentioned this in this thread. Well, no, there are about 100+, but you can choose between 7 different intelligent weapons at the start, each with their own video, own dialogues and other unique characteristics.
That's just for clarification.

I like the demo and am looking forward to the English version. The game engine seems very similar to the infinity engine from black isle studio.

Was the demo only available with the DVD version of Gamestar? Or is it on another German magazine?
PC Player used to be very good with RPG demos, having had the BG2 and Ultima 9 demos. So far Arcanum has not been put on a cover CD. |

@Annelid: Yes, there are several similarities of both engines, but as you might see, we quiet went own ways in many aspects. So it's definetely not a clone.
@Jay: As far as I know the Gamestar DVD is actually the only magazine with a demo. There might be more next month, and I'll provide you more information about it when we get them.
Still there's the opportunity to download a demo. There's a big one (120+MB) on http://www.pcgames.de, there's a smaller one (40+MB) on http://www.jowood.de. Also there's a demo on http://www.silverstyle.de, which is the same than on http://www.jowood.de, but including a complete setup (which is not needed by a bit more experienced windows users).

I'm not asking for a direct spoiler, for the demo game, just a little hint, to clarify if I'm wasting my time!
Is it possible two open more than one of the 4 locked desks, on the top tower floor? |

Hi Michael!
Well, if the open spell doesn't work, this result might be the final one.

That seemed like a game hint to me <: Thats how they always start "I just wanna make sure I am not wasting my time" Then everytime you get somewhere a little tricky, well I just wanna make sure I am not wasting my time again! Its a vicious cycle! |

Hello Stiletto!
Yep, I know that cycle. And I know when to say "Stop!"

You should have a seminar on how to stop. I find it terribly difficult if I start to stop! The worst was Ultima 9 because anytime you got stuck you had to figure out if it was a game bug or you just had not figured it out yet! Then if you get a peak and find out it wasn't a bug, well oops its too late you already saw the clue. |

Hi Stiletto!
Hm, I guess, in most CRPGs you will not die or never see the end of the game if you just miss to open the old chest in the dustiest corner of the whole dungeon (e.g.). You might miss a nice bonus item but that's it. So for me I can say: I will stop when I start to loose interest and I find other ways to continue the game.
In Gorasul I guess you see most of the time where the main storyline runs along. You know most of the time what you NEED to do and which opportunities are optional. If you get deeper into the game details you get some extra reward.
So Michael may is still unlucky with the closed desks but I bet he didn't find the potion of invisibility ("Trank der Unsichtbarkeit") in the tower.
