Best heavy armour?

While looking around the islandsto South West of Ebonheart i found the Mudan Grotto(a door to a cavern almost completly under water) i went inside and fund some lost dwemmer ruins i went inside those(they are inside the Groto) these ruins are almost all submerged too. i swam down some stairs and to the left i think and found a spot called checkpoint or something. in there there was a skelleton and a key. I took the key and went back up the stairs and up a secound pair where i unlocked a desk and got another key. i went back down both sets of stairs and swam down a hall untill i found a trap doo(above my head) to a "vault" i used the key that i got from the desk and unlocked it. inside there is a robot that has yet another key to a closet thing in the room which contains magic dragon scale armour(heavy armour) with about 233 def and 100% resist fire(constant effect) just wondering if neone else found this and if there is better armour

i know it's a long post but the armour rox

I have orcish steel or something. Orcish anyway, and def about 90. And I'm level 18. That isn't so good, so I might pay this cave a visit...

Concerning the topic..
What is the best type of armor, is it ebony? my cuirass gives me ~110 armor, with something like 60 heavy armor skill.
Is daedric better? Glass dissapointed me, it was light though glass is a kind of heavy material. It should be the dream for light armor thieves though!

I found the Lords Mail today. Its good!

I will tell you how to find it:

Leave Ebonheart, (don't remember whice gate)...
Follow the road, go to your left, to the water. There is a big stone in on the shore... swim down and enter the hidden door under water. Inside you will find the guy wearing the Lords Mail, he is quiet hard to kill! But the armor is nice. Good luck.

Cannibal, what is the helm you are wearing on the screenshot? Were could i find it?!

Ya, the Lord's Mail. Its good and all, but you have to give up in one of the quests. So far as i know, Daedric is the best armor that you get to keep.

The Helm in the Picture...

...is a Soran Ebony Helm. It's OK. Mid level armor....as is the Lord's Mail.

Now I have a full suit of Daedric armor that kicks MASSIVE ass. My armor rating, in total, is 528.

How do you get it? Plumb the shit out of Deadric ruins and follow the worshippers.

It comes piece by piece and if you get the Daedric Curve weapon...Sweet Jesus Christ.

I also have a Daedric Long Bow and 50 Daedric arrows that are one shot one kill items.

Perfect for my thief/assassin.

that's kinda odd...because daedric armor only gives about 2.66 what your skill is. Dunno how it could be 528.
Daedric is ~2.66x skill.
Ebony is ~2.00 x skill.
glass is ~1.66 x skill.
Orcish is 1.00 x skill.
All the rest of the armor is considerably worse.
Steel is about .5 if I remember right, and bonemold is about .66. I'm not sure about the last two though.

yes i'd like to know that too. I have never found any deadric armor in any shrine, just weapons. I have found 2 pairs of deadric greaves.

The uber-wizard in tel-fyr has got a set, but he's cool.

And i heard someone speak about a uber-helm near vivec, doen in the ground or sumin'
