| help on getting idol in temple of illusions (without bow) |

I have retrieved the second fake snake from the globe and the six rooms and the real snake idol. I can't get the first fake snake. Apperantly I need both fakes and the real to proceed through the door.
The guide states that I shoot it with a bow. Problem is that I can't equip a bow. My Projectile skill is ten points too low (strictly mage). Is there any other way of getting to it without a bow? I'm 6000+ exp pts from next level (to raise my skill).
If the bow is the only way, can I hunt Ylsides? Will ruin endgame or would they be to difficult without karzhog(sp??).

First of all, try to enter the room with the real snake: push aside all drapes in the second part of the 1st room of the temple, and locate a lever on the floor. Pull it and see a secret door open. Once in the room, try to hit the "spot" on the with a magic missile or sword.
Please post what happened.

While I also did it with the magic missle, I suggest you to put some points to projectile since Inut's magic bow is indeed a GREAT weapon

First of, two fake snakes?  I only found 1 and I just sold it, never used it for anything.
First fake snake I think I might have gotten through a bug, what I did was I simply slashed my sword against the wall in front of the chest (which must be the back wall of the wealthy serpent). |

there is a fake snake? i got both of them & then dropped only one into the pot to get the goodies (krahoz). so, can i just sell the second snake? or is there a reason to hang onto it?

Yeah it's a bit lame... If you drop the fake snake it hurts you a little before the fight were if you drop the real one it'll heal you (or at least won't hurt you...)
Either way you get the ring. |
