How to spend these hard-won lps

I've finally reached lvl 7.I've got about 10lp points ready to be spent.I'm in the militia and will follow the warrior's path. Where should i spend my points?Learning 1hand weapons,2h or bow? I've played gothic 1 and i know the differences between 1h and 2h etc. I also found bow in gothic 1 a bit dissapointing. Too inaccurate from even mid range. In G 1 i used a lot 2handed weapons. But had found a 1h sword with about 80damage and it was also very useful... What weapons am i going to find later in the game?If i become a paladin which is the best option? Shall i learn bow as well?
I'm thinking not to spend any points in learning how to take clows, teeth etc and put them all to combat skills.

I'm a palladin in Chapter 5. Early on I spent points in One handed weapons and crossbow. I decided not to puruse magic heavily and have not gotten to the point where I have almost maxed 1 and 2 handed weapons and have crossbow at "mastery". This has worked well for me.

There seems to be a good mix of powerful 1 and 2 handed weapons in the game, but be aware that the decent two-handers don't start showing up until Chapter 5. (Hint: there is one you can find before that, but it has really high strength requirements).

And I wouldn't worry too much about not having enough points. I got about 4 of the hunitng skills and am still near the max in 1 & 2 handed weapons and have str+dex approaching 100. Not to mention you can make some good money with those hunting skills...

Heavy Militia Armour - can be bought from Engor in the Old CAstle i Valley of Mines.
Minecrawler`s Plate - talk to Gestath, gather 10 minecrawler`s plates, Wolf will make one for You.
I think first one of them (costs 2500 - cannot be stolen and price is not negotiable) is better.

I'm in chapter 3. I have a consecrated Ore two-hander, 85 dmg/50 str. Before that I had a two-hand sword called Stormbringer, which I stole from the Ice Dragon's booty pile. 70 dmg/65 str.
