If TomTom will look again in this thread I want to make another two questions:
1.In Gothic 2 how many camps will be or we will meet towns and villages instead of camps??
2.Could PB make a patch to fix the crashes?;its all I want,at least to fix this big bug.

It's a bit late, but thanks for this answer TomTom. I thought you used the same engines, because the screens seem to be the same as the ones from Gothic 1.

They are using the same engine, but they have improved it.
Think Unreal vs Unreal tournament,I'd guess
it's the same with Gothic.
A bit more compatible,a bit faster,a bit more stable and maybe a few new effects here and there, but at the whole the same engine.

I think there will be more than 3! There are 4 in Gothic and so far it sounds like Gothic 2 is even bigger. Plus there are several more guilds, so I think we'll see more settled areas just because of that.

LexXx,I don't think there will be camps per se in Gothic2,more of a world.
Then you'd join guilds instead of camps and I'd guess the guilds have different parts of the town.
Kind of like the difference within Old camp with magiccians having an own house and so on.
Think of it like gang territory as in the film Warriors if you ever saw that.
Huge note though -> I have no facts for this,it's just a gut feeling...
So I'm just speculating, but it makes more sense to me in a world that's not a prison or bound in by a barrier.

I don't hope you can't join any camps. But I do hope that if you first joined the Old Camp (for an example) you can join the New Camp too if you want. Now, in Gothic 1, you can't join the NC if you have joined the OC...

Yep,that was a thing I didn't like with Gothic either...I joined the Swamp camp to spy on them, since I thought that would be easier and then I could swap to OC...

What I meant is that I don't think it will be camps this time.
It will be guilds (sort of like gangs) that you join.
So I don't think you will have a specific home camp, rather a guild house within a city.
But again,I don't know that for a fact,I'm just speculating.
