Killing the ice dragon

Ok, so I killed the swamp dragon. That was easy, since those guys helped me. But now Im at the ice dragon. I've killed all the monsters except for the dragon in the area, but sylvio still wont come in, and with out him there's no way I can kill the dragon. The dragon can kill me before I can even hit him, and If i do hit him I do almost no damage. Is there something I've missed...? And yes, I have they eye of innos and I've recharged it.

go talk to the dragon after that then and then start fighting cos sylvio wont come in but be careful after u come out of there

those mother fuc... sylvio..it would be very great if we had the option to torture him...and stabbing the sword right in to his friends heart didnt tease my anger...grrrr
