I refuse to believe it! I’ve wasted hours searching for the Chromanin quest parts and when I’m finally done the man is dead, I get assaulted by a score of skeletons and there is no treasure. Please tell me this isn’t true, there must be something else, a quest, an item something….

The reward is learing an important moral about not expecting material rewards for every good deed.

What you see is what you get.

And what you get ain't much.

At least you can search the stranger's body and pick up a decent trinket or two. You can hock the amulet and stuff for a few hundred ore.

**Spoiler**

Actually, can you tell me how to find the rest of the books.
I guess I got the first that give me the "stranger" quest.
But where can I find the 2nd and the 3rd book.. etc.
The 1st book say something like the wise one would need to have a good over view of everything first, what is that meant, Should I find a high tower or montain or what?
IN fact, I forget where did I find the 1st book, perhaps in the cave near sea?

Got to the top of the tower in the ruined castle where you found the Orc shaman.

The third one is worse: It is on the east side of one of the islands in the river, going under the guarded bridge ouside of Old camp

It's near the New Camp, look for the sunken huts and go to the other side of the lake.

Heheheh, Yes, the 3rd book was nasty. As a Mage you appreciate the quest though, hordes of Skeletons to fry with your undead killer spell, I think I gained about 4 levels down there, and to me there's no greater reward than more points to pour into mana.
