Please help, I get to the most exciting point in the game I have yet to see, and the game sends me to the desktop, then a message comes up saying an error has occured, send or don't send report. The game shuts down! It is the part when you open the gate by Ashgan in the old mine.... I have WinXP SB live 5.1 gamer, Geforce 3 Ti 500, 256mb ddr, 1ghz amd athlon, please help.

Was an mss32 in the error message?

I do have DX8 and the patch.

Yes it is an mss32.dll error, I looked in the error report.

Okay. YouŽll find at least 10 threads about this in the forum. The short version:

-change Sound provider to DirectSound HW
-disable reverb
-set resolution to 1024*768*32 (1168... may also work; the higher the riskier)
-leave Gothic, reload

edit: Do you have the brandnew LiveWare installed?
