SWG: Site Update - Screenshots

The 'Star Wars: Galaxies' website has updated with new screenshots of the user interface, including the community window and a new skill tree, as well as a new Player's Guide interface.

This is how the feature was announced at the forums:
For today’s Friday Feature, we’re giving you some more screenshots of the UI. Perceptive members out there may notice that one of the shots gives you a first glimpse at another skill tree (along with other interesting numbers that you can have fun picking apart).
We also show you a look at the in game Holocron, a new players guide to the game. We categorized the topics in easy to reference sections to hopefully answer those questions that plague every large MMO - “Where do I go and what do I do?” (hint: looks for clues about our tutorial here)

A third screenshot shows our Community Window, specifically the Search page. I’m showing you this so you can become familiar with how to search for players who are “Newbie Helpers”. Despite our 190+ page manual, in-game Holocron and new player Tutorial, your best source of information will always be other players. Newbie Helpers are other players who like to answer your questions. Seek them out and use them.

Now some of you don’t really care about see UI. For you, I added two bonus screenshots. Both are from Endor. Notice the flock of birds over the Ewok lake village.

Have a great weekend and holiday for those of you who celebrate Memorial Day!

-Kevin O'Hara
Community Relations Manager

These screenies reveal a lot of new information about the interface and a few before-unknown features of the game, if you have an eye and understand how mmorpgs usually work. These screenshots are sure interesting, especially the feature where you can search for other people using parameters, such as searching for persons who want to form a group, or finding players that designate themselves as newb helpers. Its worth a look if you are in to SWG.

Welp, the USA government pays me not to work, so i dont have anything better to do... So I am free 24/7 right now. Prolly as soon as my parents go to the rest home, i will start to work a little, but until then ( > 20 years from now), i will probably be playing at least 8 hours per day -- thats my usual mmorpg schedule, lol... But once a few other games (mostly mmorpgs) come out (including single-players games like KotOR and others), i will be playing about 3-4 hours of SWG a day. Right now i am playing PlanetSide like a wild animal. I might end up playing Horizons more than SWG, or Dragon Empires, or MEO, or Darkfall... it all depends on the mood i guess... do i want to play fantasy or sci-fi ? that is the question!
