I nearly forgot about the notion of Chapters until I read about them here. After a week of playing, I just finished joining up the Old Camp and Gomez sent me on a spy mission at the Sect camp. It seemed like ages I was playing this game, and I read here people are on chapters 4 and 6 and the such, meanwhile it seems I haven't left chapter 1.

Without giving any spoilers, when does Chapter 2 begin? And is chapter 1 by far the biggest and longest chapter (while the others are brief)? I kinda feel like Im halfway through the game....hope I'm wrong, this game is great and hope there's MUCH more to do

Yes, chapter 1 is by far the biggest, and no, you are not halfway through the game.
The main storyline starts when you have chosen your camp.

Monsters respawn, shops are filled up, some areas change.
