i stopped by the tavern on my way to khornis and the dealer there had a "barbarians axe" 85 dmg. i went to check if there was anything better in town and there wasnt so i went back to the tavern only to find the axe missing from his "show me your wares" inventory, BUT ITS ON HIS BACK! i dont really want to beat him up for it... but i want the axe! is there any way i can get it from him without beating him up? (i dont have any theif skills) |

...id beat him up but thats just me... If no one else comes up with a better suggestion and you REALLY dont wanna kill him, you could use the cheats to either spawn the item or kill the NPC (that way the miltia/other civies wont be after you)

Go buy a oblivion spell. knock him down. While he is on hte ground use the oblivion spell. He won't remember that you beat him.

but what about the other people in the tavern? they all attack me when i hit this guy... blah if i just knock him down will the milita be after me? |

Use the oblivion spell. He can only tell the other people around if they remember the fight. The spell there don't do it.

I don't think the militia will be after you if you beat up anyone in that tavern.
After you're done with Ruhkar, you can safely beat up the Tavern owner then use Oblivion.
The generic characters won't change the outcome at all. |
