Xardas before Idorath would lose, Xardas after the island would easily win.

...but then every enemy in a mile radius will be death.
Just start casting early enough.
I killed once in Irdorath about 5 Elite, 6 Warriors and 3 Shamans with one spell, without getting serious damage. Saves a lot of Mana!

I wasn't saying the spell was crap, just that if xardas was casting it Vatras and Pyrokar would be able to kill him before he had finished.

Wave of death is best used outside the castle in the vom.

Hmm, I always have those Orcs killed before getting the spell.
Normally I take on those Orcs in chapter 4. One time when I was a foolish militia, I did some of them in chapter 2.

Must remember that, I love that spell, but never found many places to use it correctly. Most of the times I just saved and killed the ship guards in the upper quarter of the people in the monastery.

I agree, after I oppened the gate in the VoM and all invadding orcs were slain. I just walked out of the main gate attrackted a lot of orc elites, wargs and orc warriors then swiftly casted wave of death and gained a lot of XP. I killed every orc arround the castle using this technique.
