Storage space? (houses, chests, carts...) |
|
Where can I store my stuff? Right now, I'm still in Balmora, but will be moving on to other towns soon. I've joined both the Fighters and Mages guilds.
Also, does Morrowind have horse-drawn carts like Daggerfall did? They make great outside-dungeon storage and quick travel overland. |

If you install the balmora house plugin , you have your own storage space.
It works great, without that house i had to sell a lott of stuf.
I own stuff 2/3 times my carrying ability. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

You can store anything anywhere and it will stay there. As part of a Imperial Guild quest you have to clear out a house in Balmora of Camonna Tong, a lot of people just took it over once thy cleared it out and store all their stuff there. I personally cleared out Ghoraks Manor in Caldera and display full sets of armor and unique weapons I've collected through my travels, you can keep anything oyu find so it will add up fast. |

I've been dropping things all over the Mages guild in Balmora. To the best of my knowledge, nothing I have dropped on the floors/tables has vanished however I had a chest in the Mages guild of Caldera empty itself of tons of reagents I had been collecting. I don't know WHY this happened but it DID happen. Fortunately, I was only storing reagents in here so it's not that great a loss.
Summary:
Crates are BAD.
Floor is GOOD.

More than likely you stored those reagants in the chest that refills itself with basic Mage supplies that once you join the Mage's guild you are allowed to loot. Fighters guild has one of these chests aswell, basic supplies to help you, free to loot. You will lose whatever you store in those types of chest. I don't remember where it said not to store anything in them but it does say it somewhere.
I have tons of items stored in crates, bags, cloth bags, sacks, cloth sacks and on the floor and have never lost anything. Just don't store things in the chests with supplies that the Guild supplies and resupplies.
Hmm come to think of it a lot of merchants have some items that are infinite, as you probably have noticed a lot of the time the actual items that a merchant provides are physically stored or displayed in chests or shelfs etc.. If you stored those reagants in a chest that had an item or items that are infinite than it probably cleared out whatever was in there at its next respawn. Make sense?
Summary just don't store in chests you should be fine |

Hmmm that's interesting... you see, when I tried to drop items in the Fighters Guilds resupplying chest, it just told me that it wasn't possible drop - only take. I don't know if it's the same case with the Mages Guild chest, but I would assume it... and if it is so, he couldn't have dropped them there obviously. Just a thought. _________________ -I am He- |

Necrox you're right, you can't drop them in there. I remembered this as I was typing last post, the bottom part of post is probably why they disappeared. |
