Is there a character in the game early on who will train the strength attribute without a condition being meet first? The smith guy wants me to kill some bandits (which I can't find yet), and the militia guy won't do it until I can join (must be citizen, so back to the kill bandits quest).
The problem is that my character is too weak to kill the bandits or much of anything else for that matter. I only have leather armor and I take a lot of damage when fighting anything, so I can usually only fight one thing at a time, then I usually still lose half my hitpoints or more. I'd like to be able to get enough strength to use an axe, maybe that would help a bit. |

Try the blacksmith in the harbor district - he'll charge you 100 coins, I think. |

There is a trainer at the farm (mercenaries). Big guy in front of the house Thorvald or something. He will teach you strenght and dex for free (only points needed).
Talk to lester at the harbor, he will take you to the tavern.
From there you are on your own, you will meet 2 times 2 wolves. But tat is all.
I did that with lvl 2, 10 str, 20 dam sword and a farmers armor. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Yes, it's Lares, but that guy at the farm is easily the best strength trainer early in the game. Now if inly I had more LP!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

Tofloff is the best strenght trainer in the game, as long as you remain guildless or become a Mercenary.
Also the Weapons trainer on that same farm is the best in the game, but again only if you yet again are guildless or a Mercenary. Also you will need to have learned at least 30% in any one of the two close combat weapon skills. |
