Mythica Unveiled

No official announcement, but a preview at Gamespy makes known that Microsoft is doing another MMORPG, and a big one: Mythica. What is it, how is it? This is the beginning of the preview, unveiling some info:

Imagine an MMORPG where you are already immortal. You died on the battlefield in valor and are whisked away to meet your god. In turn, he sets you on a truly epic quest where you are one of many trying to prevent the final apocalypse. You don't start as a low-level character fighting your way through snakes, bunnies or other woodland creatures that have just as much chance of kicking your ass as you snuffing theirs.
Welcome to Mythica, a new massively multiplayer game from Microsoft that pulls from the rich and epic background of Norse mythology. And we can tell you right now, this game is going to be big ... not just in terms of potential, but also in scale. Imagine you and your pals going toe-to-toe with a giant that stands more than 10 times your size or a creature so large that it encompasses the world. We mean BIG!
On four pages, the preview talks about places and races, shows concept art and screenshots - so if you are interested in this genre, you wouldn't want to miss this article.

I'm sure it won't be out this year..

But I like the looks and the sound of it. Novel approach, setting the 'mental attitude' as already having been slain.
I've always liked the Norse mythology too, so nothing wrong there. And at least with Microsoft behind it, it shouldn't run out of funding.

Holy shnikies! I’m hooked already. I love Norse Mythology. I was bitterly disappointed when Midgard was canceled, and it wasn’t going to utilize nearly the amount of the Mythos that this one will.

“Berserker: Thor is the patron.” The patron of the berzerkers was Thor’s son Modi. I wonder if I should send them an e-mail. I wonder if I did, would it ever be read?
"[Berserker's] Energies are Physical and Order."
Order? They used drugs to make themselves as animalistic as possible... How are they order and not chaos?

“Before you leave Asgard, you must choose from one of 12 patron gods, all based on the Aesir and Vanir gods from Norse mythos.”
*Crosses fingers* I hope they have Vidar (Vithar)! *Tries to send Vidar vibes in Microsoft’s direction.*

You gain power by getting mortals to worship you? I’m giddy wait anticipation.
