I just started gothic and got about 3 quests 'till now (played 2 hours or so) but I have a HARD time finding people there. (for example I need to find a Trix guy, a merchant). Is there a map where I can see people's locations ala morrowind? |

There is no such map, sorry , nor is there a merchant named Trix. I assume you are talking about Fisk. Go to the Marketplace. (The place with the canopy over it.) You can't miss him, he's usually setting on a bench by his hut talking to a guard.

The marketplace (the place where the camp is covered by a huge upper platform) is at the opposite from where you enter the Old Camp. The merchant is Frisk and you can find him sitting on a bench near the fireplace or just outside his house (his house and his magazine are the only 2 houses closed)

Its a bit confusing at first but then you get to know where everything is. You havn't even started exploring the world yet.
