What is Your Favorite Item?

Well, everyone has been playing the game for awhile now. Everyone has formed opinions on every aspect of the game. Now, I ask everyone's opinion for the sake of...uh, I don't know. Anyway, here goes.

1.) What is your favorite item(s) or pieces of equipment?
2.) Where can you find it/them.

Heh. Never found boots of blinding speed. Or the Azura's star (gem). That's reserved for the second time through the game.

My fav equipment were: Exquisite shirt, pants and skirt, exquisite shoes of sanguine ... umm... sneaking I guess since they added +5 to sneak, Duke's Guard brest plate, Malara's ring, Ring of Night-Eye (self made ring with constant effect 90 points of night eye), Ammulet of Invisibility (self made ring with constant effect invisibility), Eleidon's Ward (tower shield).

I never found a "favourite" weapon. I always lugged at least 2 with me at all times. Sometimes I had no weapon and resorted to the bound longsword. I had no attachement to any weapon really.

I played more than half the game through with the above setup. At some point I found this nice enchanted glove (expensive glove). But it didn't really add much to my getup. I mostly stuck with that setup because it looked really nice. And was light. If I travelled without the shield and weapons (relying on the bound longsword), my encumberence was 23/495.

you can get the boots after finish particular Npc quest (escorting her to gnar mok). i can't remember the name but you could find her (she's a Redguard) beside the road from caldera to hla oad or gnar mok.

as for the blinding factor, go to mage guilds, look out for mages that can make new spell for you - if i remember correctly, you should learn resist magicka spell first before that spell's option is available in spellmaking section of that particular mage; or if you good at enchantment - then create yourself items that resist magic; and of course, pump as high as possible the rate of magicka resistant when making the item. then put this items on before use your boots of blinding speed. some mages also offer enchantment service but way too expensive.

hope that help

my newer powerfull items

i have created levitation ring (called "Clif Racer Wings) with enchantment. Together with boot o f blinding speed, now i can walk fast in the air, and with crossbow in hand - causing all clif racer hundreds feet around me dropping like flies!!; ahh...how satisfactory my revenge is. when i'm in early level their always swooping down from nowhere & make me jump! i really hated them. Grrr...

i also enchanted my ebony pauldron with Light spell - called them Glittering left and right pauldron. it's really usefull in dark place or under water so i won't miss important keys or items laying around.

My favorite item is the robe of shocking. It protects from shocking and looks really cool, even npcs compliment my character on the way he looks. I got it from a daedric ruin site, but I forget which one. Sorry If I had to give a general location I would say it was on the south eastern part of the island.

Oh I just remembered Umbra's sword. Which is so much better then a lot of swords in that game. It can be found just past some mountains on the other side of an apothecary shop in Suran. Very cool item!

my favorite is the amulet of shadows

My favorite is the "amulet of shadows" because it was my only chance against many of the higher level enemies, including umbra...

That's a damn good idea. I'm gonna use that myself. Thanks!

Anyhow, my favourite item(s) were a pair of gauntlets that I found early in the game in a Daedra dungeon. Gauntlets of Randagulf? Something like that. They have like 200+ ac and give a constant effect of 20 str and 20 ability. Very good for my dumb nord fighter! Uhm.. Where they are.. West on the island.. North of some village I forgot the name of.. Look in spoilers?
