Save games not working with Raven? |
|
I got the add-on yesterday, and found that I couldn't load any save games from Gothic 2. When I re-installed, I saw a not that save games will not funktion with the add-on. Does this mean that I have to start again? I'm in chapter 5 of Gothic 2, and really don't fancy having to start again. |

You will have to start again. The add-on is embedded into the Gothic-II world. It is not something you play after you finihed the regular Gothic II. Anyway, what's wrong with playing Gothic II again.

The old save games are not lost. Watch the installation process, old save stats will be copied to some other folder. If you want to play the add-on you have to start over again though. That might bite. You also should know though that some things were changed. You're going to meet some characters that weren't there before, some of the old quests can be solved in a new way now and there are some short cuts to make it a bit faster/easier to get to the new region. But yeah, there's no way you can use the character you build up in the original game.
So, basically: it sucks if you didn't want to do the basic stuff anymore. It's ok if you planned to beat the game again anyway with some other guild. |

yeah, you can't load a savegame on the addon, as you now might now, you will meet new npc's, new guilds and quests will be availble and also new caves and monsters will come.
So you will just have to start over.. |
