I'm stuck in level 1...

well, i went down the ladder in garys wife's place (room

to get the books, the dagger aso, but the way back is blocked and i dont seem to have the skills to open the door (room 43).
so, what can i do?

got some suggestions? that would be cool!

Does it say "it's impossible" or just "damaged my tools" (or whatever).

Either way, cast bless and try again (and if you don't get the impossible line, again and again until it works).
