Lineage II and City of Heroes Launch Successfully |
Gamespy is reporting a successful launch of both Lineage II and City of Heroes, with strong subscription rates:
NCsoft announced that its two recent online role-playing game releases for the PC, City of Heroes and Lineage II, have already garnered more than 160,000 subscribers combined since they launched simultaneously in North America on April 28th. City of Heroes, a super hero themed online game from Cryptic Studios, has more than 100,000 subscribers and the Lineage II service has moved past 60,000 subscribers. The numbers were reached in less than two weeks and were attained with an ultra smooth commercial service launch - most online games aren't quite so lucky. Both City of Heroes and Lineage II are on display this week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo taking place in Los Angeles.
