| Temple of Akbaa! help needed |

Im in the temple of Akbaa, slain all and sundry , have lock code and door riddle but cant seem to close 1st door to open second and get access to locked door to left of the two standing golems??? so I can activate bridge? I remember something about the book of greu in relation to this quest (which I currently dont possess)
I actually got bored here and went and found the secret room and kicked 7 shades of crap out of the Lich, but Im still stuck and need assistance on how to proceed from here?? |

Are you past the golems and just trying to go down the hall with two doors? Did you do the golem heart trick to de-activate the trap on floor? If you did all that you should be able to open the first door, take a few steps into the hall, close the door behind you and then go down to other door and open it. If you did all the other levers ect no reason it should not work. Just don't stand to close to the door. it seems a little touchy and pops right back open if you are to near. Hope this helps.  |

I now see that the doors
Thanks for the tip, it worked fine! how did you know that the doors were part of the security system?
I got back to the castle and found a nicely sacrified chicken on my bed! and a symbol of Arx Fatalis smeared in blood above the bed!! nice touch. |

I cheated. I read it in a thread here or the walkthrough. Or I read it in a note I picked up along the way. The clues in those notes are very helpful, be sure to read every note and book you find. That chicken is a real mess. My guess is the cook is one of the bad guys, but never could prove it. I put the dead bird by her door anyway. She is the maid after all. |
