I'm quite bored to death at my desk here at work, so I was browsing through the old posts, new posts and everything between. Now remember the may 8th, there were 142 users on line? That was the date the Morrowind hit the shelves. Just curious, is any game coming in not so distant future that might beat the record? If so which one? _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

Yes, Gothic 2 seems to be very anticipated. _________________ ''Perhaps I'm old and tired but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. I will probably buy Gothic II, although I have not played Gothic but for the very beginning of the demo. It impressed me, but the controls were a little rough, IMHO. _________________ "It has been a grand journey- well-worth making once."

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

You REALLY should play Gothic! Honestly, I suspect everybody had some degree of problems with the controls at first (I know I almost didn't play past the demo). I gave it a try only because I was so bored at the time - and I am very glad I did. I promise you WILL get used to the controls in a very short time and then you will likely be very happy with them - if not even love them. They ARE simple once you get past the learning curve. The game is VERY, VERY worth learning new controls. _________________ When everything else in life seems to fail you - buy a vowel. |

The first game i will buy will be Gothic for sure, followed shortly by Gothic 2 ! BTW, all you Gothic fans, i have a question for you. How long (in game playing hours) do you find Gothic lasts if you basically do everything you can do? And does it have high replay value? like is it worth it to play Gothic through once and then start over again because of variability? Thanx in advance.
EDIT -- I just made my 200th post! to be called a "Noble Knight!" WOOT! I have knights and kings in my English bloodline and i always wanted to be a knight. Thanx RPGDOT for making my dreeeeams coooome truuuue! hehe!

You're welcome.
To complete Gothic it takes around 60 hours, although you could certainly spend longer than that.
I replayed the game so I could try out each of the camps. I also enjoyed messing around with Marvin mode a lot. Let's see what happens when I drop a troll into the middle of the Old Camp. Bwahaha! _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
