I bought the sword for Whistler, but when I go back to give it to him, he tries to kill me. Any ideas? How do I give him the sword? |

If you can, re-load a game from before you took the quest from whistler, and do it over.
Thats probably the best you can do.

Maybe you didn't bring it back fast enough. Once i used his sword for some days and when i wanted to bring to him he was really pissed because he thought i tried to steal his ore. |

I got his quest way back and I finally ran across Fisk to buy the sword. Yes, I was thinking too much time had gone past. I hate to go back that far, but looks like I have no choice. I hope that doesn't go for some of the other tasks I have to do. |

ok let him either beat you up, or beat him up.
Use fists so the guards wont shoot arrows at you.
After he wins/falls let him stand up and engage dialogue.

Now we got it. You decided to work with the money for a few days and now you have to live with the consequence that Whistler is pissed. Did you talk to Diego? Maybe stealing the money is also good for your reputation. |

If not, there are still two other camps, and several other ways to win favor in the Old Camp... all is not lost. As long as you don't KILL him. Just beat him senseless.  |
