| Having poblems with the game freezing after Piranah intro? |

I had alot of problems starting Gothic. It would play the opening Piranah intro and then freeze. What finally worked for me was to make sure that my desktop resolution was the same as the resolution that I was running in the game. i.e. I was playing Gothic in 1240x 780 but my desktop was at 800x600. I changed my desktop to 1240x780 before I started the game. I haven't had any problems since. I hope this helps someone else because I was about to throught the game away out of frustration. |

yo, i had the same problem, what i did was went into the gothic file, then to _work, then to DATA then to movies, then just delete the one called LOGO and it will start up w/o running the logo vid |

Unfortunatly, although my desktop resolution is the same as the game resolution, Gothic sometimes still freezes after the Xicat movie.
