Racism is racist

Putting people into "protected" classes is dumb and not based on logic. Like how here in the US Italians and French are the only groups out of the Romance language speakers that are not a "protected class". But I am short hairy and greasy and Italian and I could easily pass as a Mexican or Spaniard or a Portugee. But I guess since I'm Italian I'm civilized? Why are Italians not Latinos? That is retarded. If Italians are not Latin I don't know what the hell is.

Up until a little while ago Italians and Irish were very much discriminated in America. Why are they not a protected class?

But Mexican or English we are all Caucasoids so who cares? Afermitive Action is based on emotions and fallacies and promotes racism.

My wife is Japaneses and doesn't like this one. I think Asian is a dumb name for Orientals, she thinks Oriental is discriminatory. But there are white countries in Asia as well as India who prefer Indian (from what I understand) and not Asian. So Asian means Oriental, but sounds better, but makes less sense. My mother was born in Africa but is Sicilian so am I African? I wish I could claim being African since my mother was born there. Why all the dumb names? Lets go back to Negriod, Mongoloid, and Caucasoid. They're scientific names and they all suck equally for all parties involved, but they are based on logic and physical differences, not the amount of melanin in the skin or other dumbness.

Trying to pay back past wrongs to a group is rediculous I think. And if you are going to do it, at least add in all the groups that were discriminated like Italian and Irish. And everyone should do it. Italy owes a lot to a lot of countries, as do the Mongolian hordes. The Germanic tribes owe a great debt to England for taking iover the country, as do the Normands who did it next. Etc, Etc. It never stops. And it well end up being everyone owes everyone else something, so why not drop it all and move on?

Not to mention the debt the homo sapians owe the neanderthals for taking over the planet!

I agree. It's all rather silly.

It is pretty dumb. In the US, it's becoming more and more a trend that white people are discriminated against. It's all right for black comedians to make jokes about rich, "uppity" white people? A "white" comedian can't make jokes about other people? Why? Before Civil Rights, they were the butt of racial jokes, and now they return the favor in a supposedly more tolerant, politically correct climate? I don't think we should ask people to forget the past. Should we not remember the past and say that was then and this is now? We live with the consequences of the past, and today's decisions affect tomorrow. Because we as a people remember what happened then and know what should happen now. BTW, I am a minority, but I don't remember the last time when civil rights organizations supported my rights. I have enough rights as a US citizen under the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and that should be enough.

@Roqua:

I agree 100%. I wonder where it will stop...

Soon we are going to be turning around and eating our own arse.

e.g.
The procedures put in place now to stop racism will be considered racist in the future. Reperations for Reperations anyone?

And before anyone beats me to it. The title of the post is pretty dumb, "rasism is rasist". That might be the dumbest thing I ever typed. I am not thinking too clearly now so I'll just say I'm an idiot and move on.

It's not only in the US. In my country some, not all, Arabs (Morroco, Tunesia, Algeria) are always saying we are the racists. They are however the ones who don't want to learn the native language, who don't want to obbey the civil rights and traffic policy, who protest every time a criminal (and I do mean a criminal, not some guy who tries to pull of wth for the 1st time) gets killed in a fire fight with the cops.

And now here what our ridiculous Belgian politicians have decided: One who doesn't want to be a Belgian and has not a European nationality (EU-citizen) can (not obligated) vote for the city politics. (Btw, we are obligated to vote.)

Why would someone who isn't interested in becomming a Belgian citizen get to vote? You should know that it's still pretty easy to become a Belgian citizen.

Not to mention all the spelling errors in your first post. But a worthy rant, nonetheless.

Anyway, I live in Statesboro, Georgia, IMO one of the worst places to live in the U.S. Around here it's always the same crap: "Heritage, not hate!" cry the rednecks, lamenting the state flag change. That's a load of bullshit: The Confederate Battle Flag was not implemented into the state flag until the Civil Rights movement was underway. A lot of states were saying, especially to the southern states, "you can't be racist now." "Oh, yeah, watch this!" said Georgia, and stamped the ugly Confederate Battle Emblem on Georgia's flag. Now, as you may have heard, Georgia's most recent governor, Sonny (who want's a governor named "Sonny?" I sure as hell don't) Perdue, got elected because he promised a flag referrendum (sp?) with the Confederate Flag Georgia flag as one of the choices on the ballot (our previous governor Roy Barnes had the flag changed, one of the few good things he did in office). When he was elected the eager rednecks of Georgia soon discovered that he had lied. They were of course outraged and started protesting with their craptastic slogans, none of which I will burden you with. On the ballot were two flag choices, neither of them the Confederate one. And that's a good thing (though he shouldn't have lied in his campaign). Reinstating the Confederate Battle Emblem would be a racist statement to the rest of the country, and a huge step backward for Georgia. Now of course, more than ever, I have to put up with idiot classmates wearing their "Dixie Oufitters" shirts to school.

I am the greatest speller the world has ever seen. I can only spell with MSWord's help or I put some effort into it (or my wife checks it). Something is wrong with my head lately so I haven't been trying to hard, I can't think clearly.

I went to basic in Georgia. That was probably the first time I encountered real racism. I'm from Mass., and we always made racist jokes but 90% of them were Italian or Irish jokes. My father always told me growing up that I'm half guinea and half normal, racism was something to laugh at, it was a joke. But in Georgia it was real, same in NC where I was stationed. But it went both ways. I can't really say that I liked either state.

There was a black kid in my unit that was from Oklahoma and graduated with a class of nine people. He was a farmer from a farm town. But he turned straight gansta mackin when he got in the army. The only gang he could possible claim is the FFA or NRA, but that didn't stop him from the ghetto talk.

But my little adopted brother also thinks he is a gansta. We went to the same schools and had the same upbringing yet somehow he connected in his head that he was a hardcore hip-hopping ganster from the ghetto. I personally believe that in order to be a ganster you need to be in a gang. And if you are going to be a hard-core hip-hoppin gansta I think you need to be in a gang that has killed at least one person and regularly engages in criminal activities. But I have high standards I guess. Throw baggy pants on a kid these days and he thinks he is Easy-E.

I guess I am prejudiced. I pre-judge and label as idiots all the gansta-wannabes I meet. I dislike them alot.

Ah, so your "Japaneses" (hey, that's how you spelled it in your first post) wife corrects your spelling?

Ha. Only when you see no spelling errors.

Not on here she doesn't, she laughs and calls me dork when I post on here, but all my school work and work work goes through her.
And my math, her people are good at math.
