Al-Sedexus - I answered her questions, wore the clothes; but

I did the required things to talk to Al-Sedexus. I answered her questions correctly, had my fighter wear the robe, the helm and equipped him with the dagger. I said sacrifice him by pointing the mouse cursor to him. The cursor turns into a question mark and nothing happens, then the screne locks up and I can't do anything except re-boot. I didn't come this far in the game to get stopped by some bug or something. What gives??

For me a male dracon alchemist have worked.

It seems that Al-Sedexus doesn't like all races / professions.
for sure the sacrifice have to be male.

i suggest you try some other party members - if noone is accepted - kill Al-Sedexus.

there's a little bug there, you have to click just on the border of your character's little box, on the outline. (click around with the little ? until it takes...)

Yikes, I didn't realize that I only had two male characters. I finally got my mage accepted for the task. It was a little difficult; but worth it.

BTW, this is what I meant by "working", in case you haven't figured that out yet....

This really sucks! This is probably one of the most troublesome, annoying parts of the game. It's no longer about figuring out riddles but figuring how to get around a stupid mishap that seems to speak a foreign language. I figured out that if you click on the area were the portrait of your teammate, any teammate would be if you used the "portrait screen mode", you'd get a response from Al-Sedexus... "She is not right for me". In any case, no one seems to be right for this picky, bi-sexual whore. (Not that I have anything against bi-sexual women...like most men I love them) but this is really, REALLY, agitating!

Any reasonable solutions out there? Or can I just kill the bi*** and continue on with the game to Ascension Peak successfully?

Gotta be a guy. With the latest patch in place, AS will take a female offering if (and only if) there are no males in the party. This includes male RPCs. If you have an all-female party with a male RPC, you must release the RPC before you can offer up your female.

Hey, dteowner, when you say "gotta be a guy" do you mean the individual who offers up the killing must be male? Sorry, I'm just a little confused here... Though as it stands in my party -- excusing the single android which I can and will excuse momentarily to experiment -- there are two other males from my original party: a male fighter and a male gadgeteer. The other four are females. Now are you suggesting I let all males die in combat before approaching Al-Sedexus at the alter? ( But geez, talk about a male-hating Rapax! I know some women hate men in general, but DAMN that's kind of extreme, don't you think? Blood is blood, isn't it? Well...I never really understood women, anyway).

Nevertheless...I'm just a little mixed up here.

*ahem* The "sacrifice" doesn't mean that your character will die. Save your game and try it. You'll get a good laugh out of it. Especially if you try out some of the different voice sets.

Indeed, the *sacrifice* was in the name of freedom -- so says one of my male characters. But the confusion stems from Al-Adryian who says, "First, you must dress one of your strongest complete in her Canezou..." When he says *her* I suppose now he means Al-Sedexus' clothes, not *her* as in one of my female characters. Since I seemingly earned the clothing through battle and riddle answering, I suppose it was mine (like many things I come across in my travels). Then again, nothing belongs to me anymore, ALL is for Al-Sedexus... Anyway. All in all, it sounds like a dance of words... Which reminds me of the story of a man who asked a goddess for immortality, thus he got his wish. But he eventually grew old and stayed old forever. The problem was he didn't ask for eternal youth along with his wish.
