MMORPGDot Editor's Voice: 2003 Games

Only a few more days and we leave behind us the year of 2003. Yes, in which games such as Asheron's Call 2, Shadowbane, Star Wars Galaxies and A Tale in the Desert saw daylight for the first time. We asked all of the MMORPGDot staff members to give a short look on what they're currently enjoying and what mmorpg's of 2003 stand out for them. Today we see the voices of Devin, Ekim and myself. The other staff members will be heard on Friday. Enjoy!
You can find the article here.

"Wish" is a mystery to me. You must be in beta, eh? I know its a fantasy MMORPG. I know it has decent graphics. I also know that it has a website. Other than that, they havent given me adequate information to know what the hell its supposed to be; the official FAQ is *gasp* two pages long. Their website presence is a joke, and they dont give out info very often. So "Wish" might be nice, but they'd better SELL THEMSELVES better, bcuz im just not interested in a game that i dont know diddly-squat about.

Overall this year was a let-down for me... Im still not even playing a game bcuz nothing is very good... Shadowbane wasnt for me; i like PvP, but it didnt have a very good accountability/alignment system along with terrible lag and lousy graphics... Star Wars Galaxies was a huge disappointment... And Asherons Call 2 was also a big (empty) disappointment...

On a more cheery note, i believe 2004 is going to be the greatest MMORPG year ever to happen. Why? Well, can you read the following sentence really fast? "Darkfall Online, Dragon Empires, Everquest 2, Realms of Torment, Sigil Games Online announcement, Trials of Ascension, and Ultima X Odyssey, woot!" Heh. The good times are just beginning. But 2003, for me, was Battlefield 1942 year, and thats about it.

So here is a glass of orange juice for 2004! Like my little crow indian sister says, "Cup the juice! Cheers!" <clink>
