HA! You guys still pay for your games? Why do that when you can just wait 10-20 years and get 'em FREE???

and countless thousands of others, no doubt. _________________ =Follower of Righteousness=

Thanks Val, very useful. Unfortuntely, Anachronox is out of stock in the UK at the moment, but I might grab Throne Of Darkness and maybe Arcanum. |

Bah! Pay no attention to Amazon squawking about the game being out of stock and click on the link. Then go to the new and used section. You can still buy it from their third party vendors. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Well, thanks again. Wow... it's cheap.
As for free games, I like to have a look on Home Of The Underdogs from time to time, it's a good source of info (and downloads) for games I'd forgotten or never even heard of. It's especially good for finding decent Interactive Fiction. And they're all free, so that's an unbeatable bargain! |

Three games they have on Underdogs that still play well and are free are Betrayal at Krondor, Amberstar and Albion. |

piln I don't know if you ordered already but I was disappointed with Throne of Darkness, it wasn't even as good as Diablo 2. Arcanum is a much better choice, IMO, not perfect but a deeper and better RPG overall, and it has a VERY cool game world. Just a suggestion. You can find Neverwinter Nights, Divine Divinity and Arx Fatalis on some websites for a nice price, and if you haven't played any of those you'd probably be happy with any of those suggestions. |
