Xbox & PS2 Mod Kits @ XPSMods |
|
While not necessarily quintessential to RPGDot, it is still news to me...there's a fairly new website that goes by the of XPSMods.com that specializes in both Xbox and PS2 "mods and mod services" - for those of you who might want to add some exciting modifications to your Xbox/PS2 system such as (perhaps) a clear, acrylic case and some neon lighting? For those Xbox/PS2 enthusiasts...I highly recommend you check it out!! |

Neon lights? Did someone watch too much Fast and Furious ? (Or spent way too many hours racing in Need for speed underground?)
And anyway don't fall to the dark side .. please!
There are no consoles, there is the PC *waves hand* |

I don't own a console (unless you count my old Atari 2600).
But since some of you might, you may find this interesting. Apparently some UK judge ruled (PS2) mod chips illegal.
The whole story is here:
http://www.fappin.com/news/news_small.asp?Number=8539
quote:
The presiding judge then went further and confirmed that using such devices, knowing that they allow you bypass the PlayStation 2 console's technical protection measures to play pirated or copied games, is unlawful.
So not only selling them...but merely using one can get you arrested (at least in the UK and Belgium). Lovely.
I'm glad I don't own a console because if I did it would surely be modded so I could play import versions of games (some games don't get released in your own region ya know). This will probably happen in the US too but eventually get thrown out as unconstitutional by the supreme court (hopefully). |

I saw that same article myself this morning - but didn't post it as I am still checking out whether or not the Mod Chip Installation service of XPSMods is legit or not *chuckles*
BTW - I don't own a console either - but I DO so love to build custom PC's for family & friends - so if I ever buy an Xbox or PS2... |
