I read from someone, Goarth I think, that you can increase the frames per second in the game by using the console. I don't remember what the command was and I was hoping someone here does and could help me out. Thanks for any replys. |

You can access the FPS from the console. To speed it up you have to turn some features down. Like viewing distance, 32bit color,model texures etc.
The fastest I have ever seen it is 20.
I just reinstalled it, now I only get 10. Don't know why. |

You can find out the FPS with 'toggle frame'.
I don´t know a console command to increase the FPS, but I think I remember you can modify this with the mod-kit.
10 frames? You must have an incredibly slow system. |

Or you can change your Pentium 133/16 MG/ATI 2 MG by an Athlon 1000/320 MG/GeForce 3...

If noone have ever seen FPS higher than 20, then there must be something in Gothig telling that 20 is max. (why someone with GForce3 and 1800+ have 20 FPS?)

20 fps is not max., it´s the desired min.
Now draw your conclusions or search.

Personally, I have seen FPS in the low 40s - mine never dips below 20 (at least when I was watching). But more importantly, why worry about the FPS? If the scenes look good - why worry???
