Help! Shuffling forward when fighting |
|
I'm playing the demo right now (since I cant find the game in any shops here in the UK!), and am just getting to grips with the controls.
The biggest problem I have is that when swinging the weapon (using the left click - up key), I shuffle forward, as up is also the move forward key.
This is tactically disasterous!
I tried remapping the move forward key to something else, but then I could no longer swing the weapon - it seems that I have to use the move forward key for this whatever I map it to.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks for your time. |

try swinging your weapon from left to right (using standard controls: left ctrl + left arrow or left ctrl + right arrow)
when you press the up arrow to swing your weapon, you are supposed to step forward; once you get used to the fighting system this can be rather good
I've read some more hints on swordfighting somewhere on one of these forums, but don't know where |

You can find a fighting tutorial in JemyM´s FAQ on GothicDot.
The demo is the beginning of the game, with a virtual fence around the Old Camp. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

The demo is just a part of the complete game... and I thought you liked the game? Could you be a bit more specific about the demo's 'stinking' aspects? _________________ Jaz |

if it allowed you to go anywhere in the game, you wouldn't have to buy the full game; perhaps that's why the demo is limited ? |

I tried the demo. You can go around the entire colony, but the SC, NC, some NPCs, and the other worlds are missing. If you go to the SC, you have a very high possibility of crashing because the structure of SC is missing. _________________ =Farseer=
