Iwd2?

Out of boredom I reinstalled the game, but I need some small clarification. The fighters have this power attack feat from 1 to 5, what the hell that means? Apparently its good for multiple enemies but why 1 through 5?

It has five levels of use... at setting one you take a -1 to hit, and do +1 to damage. At level 5 you take a -5 to hit but do +5 to damage. It's devastating against foes you can hit in your sleep.
