The Witcher: Screenshot @ Official Site

CDProjekt has been fairly quiet this year but head to the official site for 'The Witcher' for a single screen of a rather spectacular and moody sunset. Thanks Kwish!

It's amazing to see what these guys can do with the NWN engine, really this looks a thousand times better than NWN!

Just to clarify - the renderer has nothing in common with "NWN engine" anymore. It has been completely rewritten by us and is on par with all the latest state-of-the art engines out there.

Ah that clarifies a lot, very good job Yarpen! I hope this game will be as awesome to play as to look at.

I am probably asking too much but water should be disturbed by raindrops when raining. It is a shame when I notice something unnatural in beautiful screenshots. Trekking is one of hobbies of mine and I seem not to be able to wipe off the impacts of real sceneries from my mind.

There are raindrops, confirmed by person who has seen The Witcher a week ago while visiting CDP Red Studio. The reason very possible reason why you can't see them on the screenshot is that it has just started raining.

Those screen shots look nice but because the adult themes I'm not going to touch this game when its released.
It really seems grotesque, and lets face it, its got a silly name.
