...is the way the character act. I love when you are walking around the old camp in the evening. NPCs aren't just standing around, they are eating grilled meat, drinking beer, smoking swampweed, pissing in the corner, chatting with each other, playing the lute, repairing their houses, sharpening swords, and so on.It really made you feel like you were in that prison.

It made it seem so life-like,unlike many other RPGs where characters just stand in one spot and do nothing.

Agreed. Gothic had much more life to it than pretty much any other game I've played.

The mages are funny. I mean those that practise magic by the pentagrams. Nefarius would cast the fire spell and slap on his sleeves to extinguish the fire.
At the same time I was disappointed by tavern: there could have been jugs pushed around, food traded for ore and such.

It was great, very, very immersive!

also, that no character is equal to another one (except the unamed ones), and have different voice, personality and skills.
When i was playing gothic, i played it for like 4-6 hours a day, in two weeks or so, and i began considering gothic as the real world, and the real world just a place to eat, drink and poo

Gothic is so dynamic, and the character's behaviors are really well programmed all the way through.

Also, the remarkable and stunning graphics really does it all the way.
There is not that much cloning of objects also, i mean almost every hut is different, or just slightly different from all the other huts.

Just everything in Gothic is so amazing..

Not only are the human inhabitants unique. The wild life is amazing...If not terrifying at times!

I mean, how many games have you played, were the creatures will work together in a pack (like wolfs) to destroy you! Also, creatures like Snappers and Razors actually seem to be almost as intelligent as the human inhabitants! If they want to kill you…and there is a way to get to you, you can bet they will find it!

Also, take a walk into the woods and you can see wolfs chasing down molerats or bloodflies killing scavengers. It's just an amazing world!
