| Request: tougher monsters for level 30+ chars plugin. |
|
I've heard that there was a mod. that added a lot of toughness to the monsters in morrowind so that battles wouldn't be so damn easy for 30+ level chars.
Anyone got an url to this plugin ?
Cheers.

| Is There a MOD Available that Raises the DIFFICULTY LEVEL??? |
|
If there ISN'T a difficulty-enhancing mod, then hey you modders.....there should be.
I see two different categories for 'Difficulty Mods'.
1. Change the difficulty of the monsters/situations already found in-game.
2. Make sure the difficulty of new monsters/situations added via plug-ins present more of a challenge then *any* exsisting monster/situation.
I, for one, am all for more emphasis on number 2; here's to praying that with all the mod's that get made, an emphasis gets put on increasing the game enjoyment for those who have reached level 30/finished the main quest. For those Morrowind players who have hit the ceiling on challenges, only an increase in difficulty if monsters/situations will increase future enjoyment of the game. (Yes, you could start over with a new character, but if additions are going to be created for the game, I'm just hoping they enhance the game for characters that have surpassed everything in the current game world by hitting the high levels).
As for number 1, it would be nice to have some of the higher lvl mobs pose more of a challenge according to the player's level, but I'm much more concerned about number 2; I also believe #2 would be easier to achieve via a mod.
Thoughts? Are there mods that already add difficulty, either to new areas/mobs/situations, or areas/mobs/situations that already exist?
Thanks

30+? my character is level 8 and the battles are too easy
Anyone that tries out those difficulty mods make sure to post your review, I'm going to finish the game as shipped before I start messing around with it. |

heh find a deadric shrine as level 8 and tell me it's easy
I'm currently level 24 or so, so I'll give it a try in a couple of levels. |

I just did a Daedric shrine at level 8, but indeed in was not easy - I had to really dip into my bag of tricks and potions to kill the daedra and the worshippers (*and thats the way I like it).
But I am not some braggart - when I talk about easy I'm really talking about the main quest, which I am moving along in - even when I am warned some mission will be hard, it turns out to be easy. And this is with my character specializing in multiple weapon and armor types to slow down progression, and not using the best items I can find or rip off, major skills in mercantile and speechcraft.
I think they dumbed down the main quest a little too much.
Not to say I don't like the game, I love it and put in many many hours, I just think that there should be more enemies on screen, the main quest missions should be harder (although there should be ways for stealthy and diplomatic types to complete them as well - like the tomb up north you have to go through - how does a diplomatic type use diplomacy to solve that one? There's nothing to do but fight on through). Also I wish the tombs were bigger, and I am working on the TES set so I can make it the way I want.. |
