Okay, I finally managed to join the fire mages yay for me!. I guess I'll visit the water mages later and see what I can do.
At any rate, I had enough skill points to be inducted into the first circle of magic. I've got a problem though, I don't get any magic with the first circle!! ? Do I have to collect it somewhere? or have I encountered a bug? I have one rune (another magician gave it to me), but that is it.

Awwoooga Awwooogga! Please Help help!

You can use both ice bolt and firebolt with the first circle. Buy all runes from Torrez in the old camp & corrinto in the new camp.

Also be sure to talk to the baal that educates novices *under* the Templar Training Arena (that place have a red banner hanging from each side of it). You can grab all the sect runes from him (to level 4 I think).
Wave of Ice + Storm Fist is the only good combo Ive found against razors...

If you want a good overview of what spells each circle contains, buy the book named "Magic Circle #" where # is changed to a number between 1-6. I might be incorrect with the name, but at least the real name of the books is have something to do with magic, or circle 1-6.


Runes & Magic costs alot, but its really easy to get money in Gothic.

Ergh, I have to ask..

How do you get past those two mercenaries who ask for a password in the new camp?

I can't get to the magicians due to that.

I can knock them out with the sleep spell, but I'm interested in doing it legit

You could only meet the magicians of water at the end of chapter 3.

Make them a great favor.

If you dont what favor you can give them, do everyone else great favors (solve your current quests) it will sooner or later lead you there.
