Morowind - Tribunal WARNING!!!!!!!! |
|
I was about 1/3 thru Morrowind and got sick of the dammed Black Assassins, so thought I'd trot off to Mournehold and tackle the problem head on.
BIG NO - NO!!!!!!!
Not only did I loose some good WEAPONS (a couple of fire swords and my White Woe) but I lost ALL MY SOUL GEMS!!! Filled and unfilled ((2 Grand, 2 greater, 3 common and a host of common and lesser).
SO BE WARNED!!!!
I'm not sure if this's a bug.
Thank god I had a saved game from just before I went. _________________ There're 3 sorts of people who're good at maths - those that are and those that aren't. |

Yes, Black Assassins, grrrr...
They always attack me when I am very weak and start resting (they do not let me rest, just attack when I start). And they are stronger and stronger. |

How very odd...
Were they in your inventory before travelling, you teleported, and they weren't there any more?
Does it happen if you try again? _________________ Charlie Dobbie

Yep, tried a few times with the same result. Dammed annoying.
Now I'm wondering if I uninstall Tribunal (and leave it to do 'til after I've finished Morrowind) will the DA's go away? _________________ There're 3 sorts of people who're good at maths - those that are and those that aren't. |

Are the save games "back-compatible"? I do not think so, there are data about things connected to Tribunal in your save games, so I do not think it will be possible to load them without it. |

Dani means "no".
He does not believe that a game saved after installing Tribunal will be usable running MW with out Tribunal.
I am afraid to say, his logic makes sense to me. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Just received an email from Bethsoft saying that I can uninstall and then reinstall later, when I feel like doing that quest, with no problems.
But now that I've figured out why my things disappeared I think I'll just go deal to the Dark Assassins - they're pissing me off no end Coming at me in pairs isn't fair. _________________ There're 3 sorts of people who're good at maths - those that are and those that aren't. |

Not to worry about your English, it was clear to me. In fact, I can not believe that it possible.
I hope Sherrin gets back to us and lets us know if it *is* possible. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

All her gear was stolen property (sword of white woe tipped it off to me, as I love filching it). It's weird that it's being taken automatically, as if a guard confinscated it.
Hmm. I wonder where the 'evidence' box is kept in Mournhold? There's a good chance all her stuff is there. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

Yep, that's exactly what happened. Silly me for not realising it. I didn't notice the things were gone until I went to Mournhold and didn't even think that that's what might've happened.
Anyway... uninstalling, Apparently it's OK. I've C&P the email
Hello Sherrin,
The Dark Assassins are part of Tribunal, so if you uninstall the plugin,
they will no longer be active.
I didn't ask about the saved games. In fact I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. You want me to write to them again and ask them?
I didn't save any games while I was in Mournhold, as soon as I discovered the things were missing I high-tailed it outta there.
I have previously installed a mod and saved a couple of games while that was installed, but it kept freezing the game so I uninstalled it and it made no difference. Maybe it just works for me 'coz I don't know it should'nt, lol. _________________ There're 3 sorts of people who're good at maths - those that are and those that aren't. |

I wasn't that I didn't understand Dani's english, I didn't understand what he meant by the terms;
""back-compatible"? I do not think so, there are data about things connected to Tribunal in your save games."

What he was trying to say is that once you've upgraded the game system and saved a game under the new format, it may not be backwards compatible with the un-upgraded game system. The save files of the new format will contain information not allowed for in the old format.
For example, say you aquire an item that only exists in the new version, when you load up the saved game under the old version, it will not recognize that new item .... it doesn't exist as far as the old version is concened.
That prolly doesn't help, but it is the best I can do this morning. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Aahhh, thanx for that explaination. I get it now. But I don't know the answer. I can see the point of it tho. You want me to ask the manufacturs?
But maybe there're no extras in Tribunal that aren't in MW anyway? I don't know. But now I've got the problem sorted with ma gear not diasappearing I'm about to go back and deal justice to the Dark Brotherhood, lol. Weeellll, just as soon as I get down in Ebonheart again. I'll rather miss the assassination attempts, keeps me on my toes and I like the upgraded weapons they bring me And their armour's been doing me quite nicely, thank you, lol. _________________ There're 3 sorts of people who're good at maths - those that are and those that aren't. |
