Best Weapons and armor in Chaper 1 for tomb raiding and...

I'm a level 9 Merc at the moment and I have a long sword 37dmg. Is there a better 1 hand or 2 handed weapon before I go to the vally? I'm trying to level up to at least 12 before I go there / complete chapter one. Also, do I ever get better armor (30 & 30 are the protection stats now). The reason I ask is that I need to open the chest in the tomb with all the skeletons without being destroyed by them all (is there a trick to it) the tomb near Onar's farm that you enter, find the king soris and it has three skeletons but when you try and open a chest a milion more pop up and kill me. Also I need to take care of the trolls behind and to the side of Onar's farm. Any tips on doing this and finding better weapons and armor are appreciated. THANX

Only one thing can help you raid the tomb in chapter 1: the godmode!

In a cave near the pyramid is a bag with a ring which gives you + 10 armour.
I wouldn't try going for the tomb in chaphter 1 though

there's an orc slayer in the pyrmaid
also an toutor's axe in the cave of the black troll
as for armor do some quests for torlof and lee will sell u one

2handed DragonsBAne 80 Dmg but 80 Strenght needed can be found in the cave left of the road between black troll`s hideout and circle of stones.
I opened 2 chests in that tomb as one of the last things I did in chapter 1 (even after black troll) but with last I waited till chapter 3 or 4.
