I'd just like to add that people who do not find Morrowind's graphics appealing probably wont enjoy the game. It's amazing to me that some people aren't impressed but I guess it just reiterates that everyone has different tastes. Normally, the graphics of a game don't really matter to me that much, but I have to say that this is the one exception, I find the graphics really are the key for my immersion level in the game. Most games lose the 'wow' factor for me after I have played for a while, but for whatever reasons Morrowind's graphic hit the sweet spot and I constantly find myself appreciating them.

And I think reviews from professionals are pretty worthless unless you know their tastes match yours. I read them pretty much for entertainment value and to try and read between the lines to see if I would enjoy the game. Forums are better, if you know how to ignore the hype-positive and hyper-negative posts (not that there's anything wrong with these posts, just not very informative).

P.S. even if morrowind is good for 30 hours it is longer than most games released today. (sorry, had to finish on a pointless note).

I gave wasteland a poor rating because I had never played it. Was that wrong

Since the shamless fanboy reviews have been published (the ones that are out way before the game could be properly reviewed), I've been noticing a trend of decreasing review scores.

For such a revolutionary, exciting, open-ending, free living, wonderful world, it sure is full of lifeless statues, tedious dialog and an overall lack of content. One of the reviews I just read the other day talked about how it lacked any depth once you play around 50 hours or so.

Who cares about reviews. Its just another persons opinion, profesional or not. Most of it is just tricky advertising. Review it yourself. If you are not sure goto a friends house and check it out. Your friend may like the game but you may not. Use your own brain for once instead of relying on someone elses.

Well, gothic only lasted 35 hours according to rumors I have craftily managed to scrounge up and most people agree that that was a good game. But I digress into an area that has been beaten to death by better men than me.

One final note: feel free to take cheap shots at me or my family (actually prefer that you cheapshot my family over me), but leave the innocent, benevolent, servant of man that is plywood alone.
