@ elkston,
What you say is very true, because before being released the international versions were upgraded (with the latest patch) |

somebody told here that PB dosent give a sh*t about english speaking gothic players , totally wrong they even were on this forum asking for ideas for gothic 2 onze and for more ideas , its just like this they deverlope the game , they sell the game to some publisher who gives them the terms that they gonna distribute the game to specific locations , end of story . PB sold theyr game they dont have any rights after that anymore to the game , only to watch actually like we fans do , well maybe a little bit more but the point is if u dont see the game anywhere then u can blame the publishers only , dont go talking bad about deverlopers right away , like we saw they allready deverloped the game and like we heard they even translated the game back in september. Latest news we heard was that jowood got some problems now with ATARI cos they wanted to localize the game in many countrys in theyr own language but jowood dosent agree cos they didnt give the rights to atari for that point , they gave it just to publish it in UK and US probably but not in all other countrys , one is sure jowood wants something more from atari and thats the problem we cant see the game. I hope i explained everything correctly |

Yeah, im not saying the UK version is bad and I agree with you, I have seen much worst too
There was a noticable improvment in the Atari version, imo and im glad they made/asked PB spend the time on the improvments.

You refering to me I didnt say that.
Also I dont understand some of your post , im glad PB were here,
Where is this sites headquarters, ie what country?
As well as I have never seen a PB interview with a English Game Websites, I realize there have been interviews but they all seem to be in German
Im sure German is a great language but most of the world does not speak it.
If you were a developer and you wanted your game to sell wouldnt you try to conduct at least 1 interview in a common language?
My point is valid either Atari asked/made PB/JoWood to fix much of the translations.
Well what if Atari (which I have already stated I have no love for) wanted the NotR translation fixed too? What if PB/JoWood didnt want to fix it hence Atari not returning calls about release and PB/JoWood not returing calls about fixes?
"end of story"
Maybe for you but I try to keep an open mind |

Indeed, the developers from PB were here posting troubleshooting tips and spoilers for some of us gamers before.

You mean the location of RPGDot? A cheap WHOIS gave me this address:
Dres. HOETZL & MICHALEK
Falkestrasse 1/6
Vienna, Vienna A-1010
Austria
Credits to: Wild West Domains
Of course, for this to be true, we have to assume that the RPGDot head guy is living in the same country as the server.

Don't say that or KaiRo will come and kill you. He did several English interviews with game websites and magazines. PB's Gothic II Preview and Review site gives you a short list of such interviews.

Not sure, but I believe German is the most common language in Europe.
And, don't blame the developer for that. It's just JoWooD don't have enough resources to market G2 in the "outside world" (i.e. non-German speaking countries), and Atari don't have enough motivation.

I'm afraid if this is not even possible. Rumour said Atari is not going to release the NotR translation and the source of the rumour (refer to Gorath's sticky regarding to the official info about NotR) seems reliable.

The date is from the publisherŽs site, not from the JoWooD thread.

Even in the same city. But Rend announced months ago that RPGDot was sold to Jolt. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

What kind of retard are you Gorath? A warning for what........freedom of speech?? Why don't you take the side of gamers that are being run over and ignored? As I stated, PB has been paid. It is the lamers doing the distributing that can bite me. And so you know.........I am not some young punk behind a keyboard, I am 41 and BUY games and other products from people that give CUSTOMERS number 1 priority. As it stands, the distribs has no REASON to change their attitude, because they KNOW they can stomp on you and you will still buy........not this man tho.
You say I am doing something related to piracy, wtf do you think nocd's are used for? Lemme guess, it is SO hard for someone to poke a cd in to play a game........c'mon. Yet I have seen MANY links to nocds. I never said HOW or WHERE I got my copy, only WHAT I decided to do after such sh!tty treatment from the distribs....they seem to have forgetten who they sell too and WHY they are in business.
And now YOU personally have managed to piss me off, sending two unwanted emails for the SAME thing. Ever hear of PM's? And OH MY GOD!, I am going to be banned for saying the truth........and I bet you don't have the stones to leave my post up or answer it here....so .....lata...because if I wanna come here, I will....period. Jesus, I thought this was a site for fun and games........take a pill, or try yoga. _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?

The emails are auto-generated. 2 warnings is exactly the punishment other members received for similar behaviour. If you had posted a link you would have been banned right away.
You downloaded the add-on and youŽre playing it without paying for it. You could have ordered it from Germany, like many other forum members, but you decided to steal it instead.
Piracy is not tolerated on RPGDot because it can harm our relations to developers and publishers.
Especially PB will be happy about your behaviour, now that they have agreed we put the language mod online at RPGDot. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
