Can anyone tell me why the xbox version of this game is taking so long to come out...I mean all this hype about the best game of the year gets a man excited. They keep pushing the ship date back. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I can tell the release date is still expected to be May 15. X-Box.com lists the release date simply as May 2002 and so does planet X-Box.com. I've checked a few on-line stores (Amazon etc) and a few traditional stores (Best Buy, Babbages etc.) and they all are expecting copies by May 16. Then again, the release date has been pushed back so many times and I'm sure Bethesda wants all the bugs worked out before releasing an unpatchable game so, who knows? Reading all the reviews and favorite Morrowind moments is not making the waiting any easier. I can almost taste it...  |

I understand your pain!! I feel the same way. I thought about getting it for my crapy pc because I'm sick of waiting for the xbox version. |

I pondered the same possibility. But our computer is a couple years old and I'm not interested in screwing around with settings and updating my video card etc because I really don't do much gaming on the PC anyway. I've already pre-ordered the X-Box version from Amazon.com. I don't know if the deal is still going on but they were offering free shipping with Morrowind pre-orders (and no tax either!). They gave an estimated arrival date (to my house) as May 20 but I'm hoping if they ship it on the 15th that it'll make it to me by the 17th and I'll have it for the entire weekend! I'll be happy if it just gets released and into my grubby hands by the end of the month though. |

if they ship it on the 20th i'll be happy...i get it the same day i am having surgery. My recovery time will be well spent with a controller in my hand!
